Welcome to your homestay in Gods own country. Built to care. Built for peace

Mir Bahay:

‘Mir’ in Russian means ‘Peace’ and ‘Bahay’ in Filipino means ‘Home’. An apt name for the homestay experience we promise for those who wish to spend some time close to the wonders of nature. This quaint getaway is on the periphery of a vast wildlife sanctuary, a home to many rare animals, birds and wild flowers. Built on the slopes of pine scented mountain ranges, between the hamlets of Gadauli and Pilkha, Mir Bahay provides some of the most enchanting views of snow clad Nanda Devi, Om Parbat and Trishul Peaks of the Kumaon Mountain Range.

The crisp air and serenity synonymous with this place works as a stress buster like no other. Mir Bahay offers a simple homestay experience perfect for everyone from: writers, poets, bird-watchers, stargazers and daydreamers.

We have a Pet-friendly environment that makes Mir Bahay the ideal place to holiday with your entire family – furry or feathered.

Mir Bahay consists of one main building and two independent cottages; all built using natural materials procured locally. The cottages are comfortable with ample space and nicely secluded for privacy. They are equipped with all the basic essentials such as a twin bed with soft mattress, electric bed warmers and running hot water in the bathroom to make your stay comfortable.

We provide simple yet delicious homestyle food. Homemade breakfast, lunch and dinner is available at a nominal cost. Breakfast can be continental or Indian. Considering we do not run a professional kitchen, we ask our guests to let us know a day in advance if meals are desired the following day. If you enjoy cooking, you are welcome to use the kitchen. Meals are served in the bungalow or can be arranged outside in the porch area overlooking beautiful vistas. Except beverages and light snacks, no meals are served in the rooms. Food and accommodation can also be provided for drivers and aides for a nominal fee.
